Everest hires Marsh director to head specialty group
Everest Insurance has appointed David Nikolai as head of the Specialty Insurance Group (SIG), a provider of insurance for the sports, leisure, and entertainment industry.
Nikolai joins Everest from Marsh, where he most recently served as managing director and partnership leader for the North Central region.
In his new role, Nikolai will lead the team of professionals within SIG to strengthen the growing brand, deepen the relationships among brokers and insureds, and expand its product offering, the company said. Nikolai will report to head of Everest Specialty Underwriters Mike Karmilowicz.
Commenting on the appointment, Karmilowicz said: “Dave is an incredibly skilled and proven leader, who brings tremendous value and decades of industry experience to Everest Insurance. We are excited to have him join, and lead SIG, a signature brand in the sports, leisure, and entertainment business.”
Nikolai said: “I am excited to join such an outstanding and seasoned team of industry professionals.
