Everest Insurance launches cyber protection for PE and portfolio companies

Everest Insurance has partnered with cybersecurity firm Soteria to help private equity policyholders build safer and more secure internal networks.

Everest Insurance is the primary insurance operation of Bermuda-based Everest Re Group.

Soteria will offer three solutions alongside the Everest policyholder’s primary or excess General Partnership Liability policy. These solutions include a network vulnerability scan, routine imposter domain monitoring, and an innovative phishing tool that helps mitigate the risks associated with the most common cyber threats.

The offering is also extended to private equity firms’ portfolio companies, and allows private equity policyholders to ensure their portfolio companies are better protected from cyberattacks.

“We are excited to work with Soteria’s talented team of experts to help our policyholders proactively address the risks of a cyberattack,” said Robert Clark, head of the Everest Insurance Alternative Solutions Group. “Extending this offering to our policyholders’ portfolio companies demonstrates our continued commitment to being an innovative and best-in-class carrier for our Private Equity insureds.”
