Everest poaches CUO from Travelers in Canada
Everest Re Group has appointed Kevin Pinto as new chief underwriting officer (CUO) of Everest Insurance Company of Canada (EvCan).
Pinto most recently served as CUO for Travelers Canada. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at both Zurich and Gerling Canada General Insurance, and has more than 30 years’ of experience in the Canadian insurance market.
In his new role, Pinto will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting strategy for the various EvCan underwriting units, implementing and promoting best practices, as well as developing and refining its product offerings to enhance its position in the Canadian market.
Pinto will be based in Toronto, and report to Darin Scanzano, CEO of EvCan.

He is a prime example of the top tier underwriting and leadership talent joining our organization and will play a critical role as we continue to enhance EvCan’s product offerings and underwriting capabilities.”
