Everest Re adds Stone Point founding partner Hartzband to board
Bermuda-based re/insurer Everest Re Group has appointed Stone Point Capital founding partner Meryl Hartzband to its board of directors.
Hartzband also served as the chief investment officer of Stone Point Capital from 1999 to 2015. Prior to that, she was a managing director at JP Morgan, specialising in private equity investments in the financial services industry.
Hartzband currently serves on the boards of directors of Greenhill & Co., and Conning Holdings. She previously served as a director on the boards of Navigators Group, Travelers Property Casualty, AXIS Capital Holdings, ACE, and numerous portfolio companies of Stone Point.
Hartzband will serve as a member of the company’s audit, compensation and nominating & governance committees.
