Everest Re CEO Juan Andrade joins USAA board of directors
Juan Andrade, director, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Everest Re Group, has been appointed to USAA's board of directors.
He will serve on the board's risk and compliance and member and technology committees.
Andrade has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, serving in executive leadership roles in underwriting, product development and innovation, claims, sales and distribution, and strategy development; and in general management, where he was responsible for leading all aspects of the business.
Before joining Everest, he was executive vice president of the Chubb Group and the president of Chubb Overseas General, responsible for Chubb's general insurance business in more than 50 countries outside of North America. His portfolio included commercial property and casualty, traditional and specialty personal lines, and accident and health insurance.
Prior to ACE's acquisition of Chubb in January 2016, Andrade was an EVP of ACE and the president of global personal and business insurance and the chief operating officer for ACE Overseas General. He held senior leadership roles with The Hartford and Progressive, having started his insurance career with AIG.
