Everest Specialty Underwriters hires Zurich exec

Bermuda-based holding company Everest Re has appointed Charles Higham as vice president and leader of the Financial Institutions Group at Everest Specialty Underwriters, a division of Everest Insurance.

Higham is responsible for leading the management and professional liability lines of business for all types of financial institutions as part of the broader growth initiatives at Everest Insurance. He joins Everest Insurance from Zurich North America, where he led the financial institutions group.

Previously, Higham has had roles at Gulf Insurance Group and The Hartford and Arch Insurance Group.
