Fadata names new chief executive post acquisition

Fadata, a provider of advanced insurance policy administration and claims solutions, has appointed John Macdonald as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

With more 20 years of experience in financial technology (FinTech), Macdonald has held a wide range of executive positions at various software companies, including SAP, Algorithmics, IBM and S&P Capital IQ.

Macdonald joins Fadata following its acquisition by the Riverside Company and Charles Taylor in December 2015.

He said: “I am honored to join Fadata as its new CEO. It is a privilege to be part of a company that delivers innovative solutions and high quality services that are widely recognised by the analyst community and our clients.

“We are experiencing a new digital transformation in the insurance sector - one that is changing consumer behavior and business models. With our state-of-the-art technology, Fadata will help clients seize opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing processes and to create new value for their customers.”

Martin Scott, partner in charge, of The Riverside Company, added: “We are delighted to have John lead the Fadata team. We are confident that his extensive international business experience will be invaluable in accelerating the company’s growth to become one of the market-leading insurance software solutions providers globally.”

David Marock, group CEO, Charles Taylor, commented: “The global insurance technology market is growing rapidly, with increasing demand from insurers to replace legacy systems, bring new products to market quickly and capitalize on the potential of big data.

“We are looking forward to working closely with John to drive Fadata’s growth.”
