Former Pool Re CEO Julian Enoizi lands new job at Guy Carpenter

Reinsurance broker  Guy Carpenter has tapped former Pool Re leader to head its newly created role as global head of public sector.

Julian Enoizi (pictured) brings a 25-year industry background, including his most recent post as CEO of the UK government-backed terrorism reinsurer Pool Re. At the helm of Pool Re, Enoizi secured renewal of the unlimited government guarantee and helped build the “Resilience UK” initiative aimed at encouraging industry and government to tackle systemic risks and protection gaps. Enoizi had previously held roles at ProSight Specialty Underwriters, Argo Managing Agency, and CNA Europe Holdings.

At Guy Carpenter, Enoizi will lead a new public sector practice to identify opportunities to address systemic risks, such as cyber and climate change and develop solutions to facilitate a closer working relationship between public and private entities. Enoizi will be based in London and report to Guy Carpenter chairman David Priebe.

Dean Klisura, president & CEO of Guy Carpenter, said: “At Guy Carpenter, we remain committed to helping develop and secure public-private partnerships, which is vital to enhancing community resilience. Julian’s understanding of the importance of such partnerships and his extensive market experience make him the ideal person to lead our Global Public Sector practice.”
