Gallagher Bassett names new UK CEO

Risk management firm Gallagher Bassett has appointed Simon Pemberton as UK chief executive officer.

Pemberton will succeed Nick Bonser, the current UK managing director, who is retiring from the business after 15 years of service. Bonser feels that now is the time to deploy the company's robust succession plan as it is poised for a period of rapid growth, according to a statement. He intends to stay on until June 2018 to ensure a smooth transition.

Jon Winsbury, executive vice president of Gallagher Bassett International, said: “Simon has been a strong leader within the UK business for a long time. He has worked his way up through the ranks in both operational and sales functions, so he has a very strong understanding of all facets of our business. Simon has excellent relationships with our clients, teammates and the wider broker and carrier markets and the total confidence of our UK and global leadership.

“He will build on Nick’s successes while developing new pathways for growth and excellence in claims management and customer service. I wish Nick and Simon all the best as they move into their new roles and life stages.”
