Gallagher makes partner hire from JLT for specialty division
Insurance broker Gallagher has appointed Peter Chesterfield as partner for the construction team within its specialty division.
Chesterfield joins from JLT, where he was sales leader for its construction team. Prior to that, held a number of executive roles internationally that were both sales and service focused.
In his new role, Chesterfield will be responsible for client engagement and business development. His key areas of focus will be to further develop and differentiate the services and products Gallagher offers.
Gallagher’s construction team provides risk management and insurance solutions to large businesses including contractors, property developers, owners, infrastructure, renewable energy, PPP/PFI and engineering.
Martin Hiller, chairman of construction for Gallagher’s specialty division, said: “We already have a significant presence in providing insurance and risk management advice in the construction sector, and it continues to be an area of development for Gallagher. We are investing in our team, further deepening our service proposition and Peter will be an asset to the team with his sector knowledge, experience and insightful way of engaging with prospects. He will play a pivotal role in developing our proposition for both new and existing clients.
