Gallagher snaps up Arkansas-based broker to expand in surety market

Insurance broker  Arthur J Gallagher & Co. has acquired Little Rock, Arkansas-based Alpha Surety & Insurance Brokerage.

Founded in 2002, Alpha Surety focuses primarily on selling direct and wholesale commercial surety bonds in key industry sectors, including money transmitters, cryptocurrency, professional employer organisations, debt managers, mortgage/finance lenders, fundraisers and others. It serves clients throughout the US, as well as Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

Following the deal, the company will continue to operate from its current location under the direction of Kevin Garvin, head of Gallagher Affinity.
