GCube Underwriting creates CUO post
Specialist renewable energy underwriter GCube Underwriting has appointed Stuart Burchell to the newly created position of chief underwriting officer.
Burchell will take overall responsibility for underwriting. Roy Munoz remains directly responsible for claims management, Jatin Sharma heads up global business development and Mark Wilson leads the finance and operations team.
“Over the past twenty four months, our book of construction and operation of renewable energy assets has become increasingly international as we have pushed into new territories such as Latin America, Africa and Asia Pacific. This in turn, has a considerable impact on the way these assets are safeguarded and protected,” said Fraser McLachlan, chief executive, GCube Underwriting.
“Moreover, while the established markets of North America and Western Europe continue to show much promise and good incremental gains, investors and developers now look further afield for high margin growth.”
McLachlan added: “For the underwriting and insurance markets, that’s exactly why we continue to enhance and refine our service proposition and core business units, in order to best meet the needs of developers and investors.
