Generali hires RSA's Steven Zuanella as group chief digital officer

Italian insurer Generali has hired Steven Zuanella as new group chief digital officer.

Zuanella will be responsible for steering, controlling and supporting the group's digital and data analytics initiatives and orchestrate innovation at group level.

Generali said Zuanella has significant international experience in global companies within the insurance industry and in particular in digital transformation.

Zuanella has previously served as the chief digital officer of RSA Insurance Group. Prior to that, he served in the same role at Zurich UKGI 2015 to 2016.

Zuanella will report directly to the company's general manager, Frédéric de Courtois, who said: “We are pleased to welcome Steven in his new role. We are certain that his know-how and significant international experience will be key to drive innovation and digital transformation pursuing our ambitious strategy Generali 2021.”
