Great American Insurance forms new unit to grow E&S presence

Great American Insurance Group has revealed it plans to boost its E&S presence by forming a new division designed to leverage the collective experience of two units: the American Empire Group and the Specialty E&S Division.

Great American Risk Solutions, the new unit, will offer a wide range of E&S casualty and property solutions via experienced underwriters and claims professionals who support wholesale insurance brokers and programme managers located throughout the US.

Mark Lonneman, divisional president of Great American Risk Solutions, said: “Great American Risk Solutions simplifies and strengthens our collective E&S insurance offerings to wholesale brokers by offering a comprehensive and consistent E&S platform. We believe that this new business will streamline and enhance our service to this niche market, while providing opportunities to expand our footprint.”
