Hamilton appoints new US head of property reinsurance from PartnerRe

Hamilton Insurance Group (Hamilton), the Bermuda-headquartered group of companies underwriting specialty insurance and reinsurance on a global basis, has appointed Brad Sforza as senior vice president, head of property reinsurance for its new US reinsurance platform, effective January 27, 2020.

Sforza comes to Hamilton from PartnerRe, where he was vice president, property and multiline treaty. He joins head of casualty & specialty reinsurance Steve Wilson in Hamilton’s New York office as the company continues the buildout of its global reinsurance footprint in the US.

“All of us at Hamilton are pleased to see the manner in which our US platform is continuing to take shape,” said Hamilton Re CEO Kathleen Reardon. “Brad Sforza’s market reputation, client management skills and understanding of multiple classes of business are a great complement to Steve Wilson’s industry experience and expertise.”

Sforza brings 20 years of industry experience to his new position. Prior to his role at PartnerRe, he spent over 14 years at Willis Re, most recently as executive vice president with responsibility for client management and business development. Sforza began his career in reinsurance as a broker analyst at Aon Benfield.
