Hamilton US lures Guy Carp exec
Hamilton USA, the New Jersey-based insurance operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, has appointed Rich Koehler as president, middle market & programmes.
Koehler will report to chief executive officer Conan Ward and will be based in Princeton.
He joins from Guy Carpenter where he was managing director. Previous experience as a broker included positions at Marsh & McLennan, and at Centre Re and Munich Re America as an underwriter.

“Rich is the right person for the job of developing our middle market and program book of business. While he was at Guy Carpenter, Rich was instrumental in establishing our business plan. His broad experience, as a broker, insurer, and reinsurer, gives him the perspective we’re looking for as we examine ways to shift the insurance paradigm.”
