Hanover appoints former Morgan Stanley & Credit Suisse exec to board

The Hanover Insurance Group has appointed former Morgan Stanley Group and Credit Suisse Group executive Jane Carlin to its board of directors.

Carlin is a senior executive with experience in cyber security, information, risk management, compliance and business governance.

She has served Morgan Stanley Group as managing director, global head of financial holding company governance and assurance department and operational risk management department, from 2006 until her retirement in 2012.

Prior to this, Carlin was the managing director and global head of bank operational risk oversight at Credit Suisse.

Michael Angelini, chairman of the board of directors at Hanover, said: "Jane's election to our board reflects our success in attracting exceptional individuals as directors of our company.

"Jane brings tremendous experience, outstanding insight and intellect. We are very pleased to add her to our board."
