HDI Global refreshes management board with AXA XL, MS Amlin hires
Industrial lines insurer HDI Global SE has appointed Mukadder Erdönmez as a board member with responsibility for the liability division, and Andreas Luberichs as head of the German business.
After 36 years in the company, Frank Harting has stepped down from the management board on the "best of terms and by mutual agreement" to pursue other opportunities.
Erdönmez comes from AXA XL in Zürich where he is currently head of international casualty Europe, Africa & Latin America. Prior to that, he was responsible for global liability business for small and mid-sized companies at XL Insurance as chief underwriting officer.
Erdönmez will assume the new role from September 1. He will take over responsibility for the liability division from Jens Wohlthat who will concentrate entirely on business in Asia, Africa, Russia and the Middle East.
Luberichs was most recently a board member at MS Amlin SE, where he has been executive president Europe and chief underwriting officer (CUO) for the past seven years. Prior to that, he held various positions including head of European property insurance at Chubb. Luberichs will take over from Harting starting July 1.
