Hiscox cyber underwriting manager leaves to join Aviva

Global insurer  Aviva has hired its new head of cyber from Hiscox.

Stephen Ridley (pictured) has joined Aviva following almost eight years at Hiscox, where he most recently held the position of cyber underwriting manager.

Prior to joining Hiscox in 2014, Ridley worked at broker Marsh as vice president of financial & professional services (FINPRO) National, where he specialises in providing professional indemnity, cyber liability, data protection, intellectual property and reputational insurance and risk management advice to FTSE100 companies with a particular focus on the technology and media sectors.

Earlier in his career, Ridley also worked at broking groups Towergate and RK Harrison.
