Horizon Underwriters appoints senior development underwriter

The specialist home underwriting agency Horizon Underwriters has appointed Ryan Piner as senior development underwriter.

He will be the third new Horizon underwriter appointment since it was founded in February 2015.

Piner previously worked at Oak Underwriting as a business underwriter for 11 years and will take up his new role in late August. He will report to Mike Webley, associate director, broker development.

The appointment is said to support the sales and underwriting functions while Horizon expands further and follows the appointments of underwriter Pip Cameron and Heather Green in February.
