House of Insurtech launches underwriting-as-a-service platform

London-based House of Insurtech has launched a new cloud-based 'underwriting-as-a-service' platform, called Insurforce, that aims to lower administration cost, and increase flexibility for insurers, MGAs and brokers.

According to the company, the API-driven system speeds up the process of building “quote and buy”, and is is suitable for both general insurance (CL and PL) and life and pensions including from indicative quote to full medical questionnaire.

James Downes, founder of House of Insurtech, said: “There is a real bottleneck in the industry in getting products online, we want to change that to allow the industry to be faster moving, more innovative and more responsive to its customers’ needs. Having a scaleable platform means that we can meet these needs whether it’s replacing a spreadsheet driven single product or a complex risk calculation including 3rd party data.”
