Howden boosts Singapore office with staff from JLT

Howden International, part of Hyperion Insurance Group, has hired Goh Chye Huat into its international broking business as chief executive officer and principal officer of its Singapore retail operation.

Chye Huat will join from Jardine Lloyd Thompson, where as managing director, Singapore, he has built a business over the last 22 years.

Chye Huat will be charged with delivering dynamic growth across all business lines in Singapore, as Howden continues to expand its offering and retail capabilities in Asia. Following Chye Huat’s appointment, Jessie Tijoe, currently chief executive officer and principal officer, will become chairman, with a focus on key client relationships.

Four other senior executives will be joining the group.  Gerard Lee will join as executive director - Strategic Business Development; Primus Lee will join as executive director - Head of Employee Benefits; Jenny Lim will join as executive director - Head of Special Risks (Financial Lines); and Gracy Khoo will join as executive director - Head of Major Corporate Accounts.
