HSB poaches loss control engineer from FM Global

Specialist engineering and construction insurer HSB Engineering Insurance (HSB), part of Munich Re, has hired a senior loss control engineer.

Marianna Grammatika joins HSB from FM Global where she worked for seven years as a loss prevention field engineer, specialising in fire control on high risk accounts within the chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical industries.

Reporting into HSB’s Loss Control Engineering Manager, Jim Whitmore, Grammatika is responsible for providing practical risk solutions to customers across the various classes of business underwritten by HSB.

Whitmore said: “Loss control engineering is a key part of HSB’s service proposition. We are dedicated to supporting our customers through consultative based services, such as on-site survey reports with a focus on practical risk solutions to help manage, control and reduce risk.

“Marianna’s strong technical background and fire control expertise will serve to strengthen our loss control engineering team and will help further enhance our market leading service to customers.”
