IAG appoints Peter Horton as group general counsel

Insurance Australia Group (IAG) has appointed Peter Horton as new group general counsel.

Horton is expected to join IAG by the end of 2019 from TransGrid, where he is executive manager legal, governance and risk. Prior to TransGrid, he was group general counsel and company secretary both at QBE Insurance and before that, Woolworths.

IAG managing director and CEO Peter Harmer said: “I am pleased to welcome Peter to IAG. His considerable experience across a range of industries will enhance the way we meet our obligations, in an increasingly complex environment.”
