IAG poaches Aon Benfield exec for reinsurance manager role

IAG, the multinational insurance company, has appointed Scott Grove as group general manager, reinsurance.

Grove has more than 30 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry. He joins the firm from Aon Benfield, where he has been working as managing director for the past four years. Prior to that role, he was with Guy Carpenter for 18 years, including five years at the firm’s head office in New York.

“Scott is very well known in the reinsurance sector and will add considerable value to our already strong reinsurance team at IAG,” said Dan Coman, deputy chief financial officer, IAG.

“Reinsurance is an integral part of our overall capital management programme and I look forward to having Scott as part of my leadership team.”
