IAT Insurance plucks CNA leader for top claims role

US-based  IAT Insurance Group, a provider of specialty property/casualty and surety products, plucked the top claims executive from CNA to step in as its senior vice president of claims operations.

Heidi Bendick (pictured) brings 20 years of experience in the field, most recently as vice president of claims operations at CNA where she led a claims team of 300. She has underwriting and back-office experience from Travelers. Her background also shows experience with claims operations, payment management, customer service/customer experience, and developing quality assurance programmes.

IAT chief claims officer Trent Haas said: "Heidi has a winning mix of technical knowledge, industry experience and people skills. Her passion for employee engagement and development aligns well with the IAT culture and we look forward to the leadership she will bring for our claims operations team.”
