Industry veteran and Horseshoe founder & former CEO moves to HSCM Bermuda
Hudson Structured Capital Management (HSCM Bermuda) has tapped an industry veteran, formerly CEO, chairman and founder of ILS specialist and fund administrator Horseshoe Re, to help shape its Bermuda re/insurance strategy.
Andre Perez has joined the firm as an advisor focused on HSCM Bermuda’s re/insurance strategy.
Perez has spent more than 30 years in the insurance industry. Founding Horseshoe in 2005, he built it into one of the industry’s leading service providers and served as its chief executive officer until last year, continuing as chairman for ILS until February 2022.
Prior to founding Horseshoe, Perez served as head of office at Alea Bermuda, SVP of overseas Partners Re and head of actuarial services at KPMG Bermuda. He began his career with Zurich Canada.

Perez joins the other advisory board members: Liz Mitchell, former CEO of Renaissance Re US; David Cash, former CEO of Endurance Specialty Holdings; Rich Carbone, former CFO of Prudential Financial; and Chris Harris, former CEO of Montpelier Re Holdings.
