Invesco hires UK insurance head from JP Morgan
Investment management firm Invesco has appointed Ed Collinge as the head of its UK insurance team, a newly created position.
Collinge will work closely with teams across Europe, with emphasis on the Benelux and Nordic regions.
Collinge will be based in London and report to the head of UK institutional sales and services Hugh Ferrand. Collinge will be responsible for building and maintaining insurance relationships in the UK, focusing on investment solutions.
Collinge joins Invesco from JP Morgan Asset Management where he was the executive director of its global insurance division for four years.
Prior to this, he has served in various roles at Legal & General, Lehman Brothers, and Dresdner Kleinwort.
“Ed joining our team reaffirms the depth and quality of Invesco’s investment expertise and our commitment to delivering a superior investment experience to our institutional clients,” said Ferrand.
“Many insurance companies are reviewing their investment portfolios due to the impact of challenges such as low yields, regulatory and reporting requirements, technological advances driving change, and the decline of annuities,” he noted.
“Invesco recognises the importance of partnering with clients to create effective solutions in this environment, and Ed’s leadership experience and expertise makes him the ideal candidate to manage and nurture these relationships.”
