Ironshore hires Argo exec to lead wholesale environment unit

Ironshore, a Liberty Mutual Company, has appointed Kelly Killimett to lead its newly established wholesale team within Ironshore Environmental.

Killimett has more than 15 years of environmental underwriting experience with a focus on wholesale distribution. Over the past eight years she has served in various leadership roles at Argo Group, most recently as head of the environmental business unit. Killimett began her underwriting career with a retail insurance agency offering commercial lines coverages.

In her new role, Killimett will be responsible for developing and executing an integrated underwriting and sales strategy dedicated to serving wholesale brokerages in the US. Killimett will be based in Atlanta, reporting to Toby Smith, president of Ironshore Environmental.
