JLT Specialty appoints SVP to build new insurance division in New York

JLT Specialty USA, a subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT), has appointed Denise Kaloudis as senior vice president.

Based in New York, Kaloudis will work with JLT’s special situations group (SSG) to assist the restructuring community in solving complex insurance issues.

Most recently, Kaloudis was director of business development at a national law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath. She has previously worked in the restructuring industry for several years. Kaloudis practiced as a bankruptcy attorney specialising in restructuring services, first at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom and then at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. She was also a law clerk for the Honorable Mary Walrath, former chief judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court of the District of Delaware.
