Langhorne Holdings appoints COO, Bermuda CEO

Langhorne Holdings has appointed Craig Fowler as CEO of its Bermuda-based underwriting platform Langhorne Reinsurance.

Fowler was previously the head of corporate development at National Life Group in Vermont, where he was responsible for initiating and running the institutional markets business and capital management for the organisation.

Langhorne Holdings is a reinsurer targeting large in-force life and annuity blocks sponsored by affiliates of Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) and RenaissanceRe Holdings.

Andrew Markus has been appointed chief operating officer and general counsel of Langhorne Holdings and its Bermuda-based subsidiaries. Markus served as a consultant to Langhorne in connection with its capital raise and was previously general counsel and chief compliance officer at Maritime Finance Company, a Bermuda-based specialty finance company focused on the maritime industry.
