Let Alliance merges with the Barbon Insurance Group

Specialist property insurance company Let Alliance has merged with the UK’s largest tenant referencing and specialist lettings insurance company, Barbon Insurance Group. The deal brings together Let Alliance, Homelet and Rentshield.

From its inception, and throughout the last nine years, Let Alliance has been supported by OneAdvent – a specialist MGA platform that enables entrepreneurial underwriters to launch, and grow, their insurance businesses.

As the relationship between OneAdvent and Let Alliance developed, David Hill, CEO at OneAdvent, joined the Let Alliance board as a non-executive director, supporting founder and CEO, Andy Halstead, and the Let Alliance team.

Andy Halstead, founder & CEO at Let Alliance said: “During 2010 we developed the initial Let Alliance proposition. David and his team at OneAdvent have been strategic partners since our very first day in business. OneAdvent’s established relationships with insurers, and access to insurance markets, allowed us to be taken seriously from launch. Thanks to OneAdvent, Let Alliance was able to compete with well-established competitors, and offer letting agents the best products available in the market.

“Our merger with the Barbon Insurance Group is the next phase of the Let Alliance journey and our mission to support letting agents across the UK. There is no doubt that we will continue to work closely with David and the OneAdvent Team.”
