Liberty Mutual hires Zurich exec

Liberty Mutual’s national insurance property operation has appointed Dan Feige as division underwriting manager for its inland marine division.

Based in New York, Feige will be responsible for strategically growing Liberty Mutual’s large inland marine business.

Feige joins from Zurich Insurance where he served as vice president of North American product underwriting and headed the marine and engineering lines. He has also held numerous positions at Hartford Financial Services Group, including Northeast division manager.

Mike Martin, executive vice president, general manager, Liberty Mutual national insurance property, said: “Dan’s nearly 20 years of inland marine underwriting and product management experience will help him profitably expand our presence in the large inland marine market.”
