Liberty Mutual Re names former XL Catlin exec as treaty casualty lead

Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, part of  Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has promoted a senior underwriter from within to the post of head of international treaty casualty.

Vincent Gilardi (Pictured) will now lead all casualty reinsurance business for LM Re's international operations.

Gilardi joined Liberty in 2019 as a senior underwriter for international casualty, based in France. Prior to that, he served at XL Catlin for more than 12 years in various senior roles, latterly as casualty senior underwriter and market lead for the EMEA region.

Earlier in his career, Gilardi worked at AXIS Capital Re as an assistant underwriter - P&C, and at PartnerRe as credit and political risks underwriter.
