Liberty Mutual Re taps ex-RenRe/Guy Carp for US treaty leadership role
Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed a former RenaissanceRe senior executive to head up its US specialty casualty treaty business.
Sara Steiner (pictured) has been promoted to US specialty casualty treaty manager role.
She joined Liberty Mutual Re in 2020 as vice president and director of assumed reinsurance, where she oversaw all aspects of the production and underwriting of LM Re’s broad portfolio of treaty casualty accounts.
Prior to joining LM Re, Steiner worked at RenaissanceRe, where she was vice president, casualty treaty underwriting.
Steiner also previously served in various treaty broking roles at Guy Carpenter for more than nine years.
