Lions Gate launches new environmental offering backed by Great American

Specialist MGA Lions Gate Underwriting has launched a new environmental insurance product underwritten by the Great American Insurance Group.

The programme will focus on contracting services and the pollution conditions resulting from them across Canada and the US. The wording includes errors and omissions arising from associated professional services, which traditionally required a separate policy.

It will be managed by Rod Spurrell, managing director, Toronto branch at Lions Gate, who previously led the environmental programme at a Canadian insurance company prior to joining the Lions Gate.

Spurrell said: “We are pleased to be offering this innovative product in Canada, which we have designed with several features new to the Canadian market. Our growing team at Lions Gate is committed to delivering best-in-class underwriting service, with a range of policies that will meet the needs of a broad range of clients. I look forward to rolling this product out to Canadian businesses and further growing our Lions Gate offering.”
