Lloyd's broker AFL launches property practice with Lockton hire

Independent Lloyd’s broker AFL has appointed Neil Crouch to lead its new wholesale property practice.

Crouch will lead the expansion of AFL in the property market, initially focussing on North American and Caribbean business as director of property.

Crouch was previously the head of broking at Lockton.

AFL chairman Toby Esser said: “We are growing our wholesale capabilities adding a property practice is a natural next step for AFL’s business profile. Current market conditions make it a compelling case to enter this class, where there is a need for proactive products and services that fully harness the highly skilled underwriting capacity at Lloyd’s.”

CEO Bob Finch added: “Crouch is a highly-experienced broker, and not only ideally suited to leading our growth in the property sector, but also to mentoring our expanding team. We place huge value on nurturing and educating the next generation of talent, and are delighted to welcome him on board.”
