Lloyd's broker Kinetic Insurance hires duo from rival

London-based Lloyd's insurance broker Kinetic has appointed Ian Ashworth and Kieron Burrows to further develop its portfolio of broker accounts and binding authorities.

Both Ashworth and Burrows join Kinetic Insurance Brokers from Synergus Insurance Solutions.

Ashworth will take up the role of business development executive. He has 40 years of experience in the London and Lloyd's insurance markets.

Burrows brings 20 years of retail broking experience, having previously worked at Prestige Insurance Brokers and Marsh & McLennan.

CEO Peter Bassel said: "Ian's and Kieron's wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made them a key addition to the Kinetic team. We view their appointment as a sign of Kinetic's commitment to the UK and international retail brokers and providing excellent routes into the Lloyd's and London market.

"I'm confident that Ian and Kieron will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality solutions for our clients."

Ashworth commented: "I am excited to start a new challenge within Kinetic and following their recent purchase by Torlea, I look forward to working with the team to further develop their already extensive portfolio of retail and binding authority accounts. I am fortunate to be joining a team that prides itself on top quality service."

Burrows said: "Having worked previously with Ian, I am delighted to continue our successful relationship at Kinetic, and look forward to working with the wider Kinetic team."
