Lloyd’s insurer IVE Syndicate 2525 looks to Brit for casualty expansion

IVE Syndicate 2525, a specialist employers’ and third party liability Lloyd’s insurer managed by Asta Managing Agency, has strengthened its international casualty underwriting capability with a new hire from Brit Insurance.

James Tully joins IVE as an underwriter in the international casualty team. He comes from Brit, where he has been an underwriter since 2018. Prior to that, he was an underwriter specialising in international casualty at QBE and Ironshore Insurance.

Charles Harcus, head of international casualty, said: “We’re delighted to welcome James to the team and he could not have joined at a better time. Capacity is still restricted across the marketplace, rates are showing double digit increase, and as a syndicate we can take advantage of this by adding profitable business to our portfolio at the right premiums, terms and conditions. James brings a perfect blend of experience, expertise and enthusiasm, and he will play an integral role in the exciting journey ahead.”

Tully added: “I am really looking forward to joining IVE Syndicate 2525 and having the opportunity to work with such a dynamic team during an interesting period in the market.”
