Loss estimate for December 2018 Sydney hailstorms lowered: PERILS
The December 2018 Sydney hailstorms will cost the industry some A$633 million, according to PERILS in its second loss estimate for the catastrophe.
The estimate also includes the losses from the storm activity in southeastern Queensland in December 2018.
This second estimate is slightly lower than is initial loss estimate of A$635 million which was issued by PERILS on 31 January 2019.
The PERILS loss number covers the property line of business only – losses from motor and other lines of business are not included.
