Markel hires Beazley claims exec

Specialist insurer Markel International has appointed Tom Fassnidge as senior claims adjuster in its professional and financial risks division.

He will report to Gabrielle Folliard, who joined Markel in May as professional and financial risks claims manager.

Fassnidge joins Markel after spending eight years at Beazley where he was claims manager in the UK and international team, handling professional indemnity, directors' and officers' and general liability claims, predominantly for SME businesses. He previously worked at Scottish Re, now part of Pacific Life Re.
