Markel hires new Asia claims leader from QBE

Specialist insurer Markel International has appointed Bo Yu as claims lead for Asia, responsible for all claims arising through the company's offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Labuan.

Yu has nearly 10 years of experience in claims. Prior to joining Markel Singapore, he was the senior marine claims manager of QBE Insurance (Singapore) and Great American Insurance where he oversaw the operations of their marine claims teams.

Yu will work closely with the extensive claims team across the Markel group. He will also help Markel better engage with its partners across the region by offering specific claims training as and when required.
