Markel lures CNA exec

Specialist insurer Markel International has appointed Pushpa Sriwignarajah as senior underwriter in its professional and financial risks division, to further develop its emerging risk business.

At Markel, Sriwignarajah will be reporting to senior underwriter, Scott Bailey, and will be helping to drive the division’s emerging risk business, including technology, media and telecommunications professional indemnity as well as cyber.

Sriwignarajah joins Markel from CNA Insurance Company, where she was senior underwriter for technology and cyber risks. Prior to this, she held the same role in technology insurance specialty at Chubb Insurance Company of Europe.
