Marketform strengthens cargo team

Lloyd’s underwriter Marketform has appointed Howard Franks to develop the company’s cargo business.

Franks, who has 39 years of Lloyd’s experience, 27 as a lead cargo underwriter, will work alongside cargo underwriter Nicholas Edwards.

“There are exciting opportunities that we are looking to maximise, and we are delighted to have such a well-respected cargo underwriter as Howard Franks assisting the team with their forward strategy,” said Simon Lotter, chief underwriting officer, Marketform Managing Agency. “Howard brings with him an extensive understanding of the Lloyd’s cargo market and will be working with the team on a consultancy basis.”

Nicholas Edwards, who joined Marketform’s Marine division in 2008, will focus on developing the existing cargo portfolio and enhancing the current products and services on offer.

Marketform also recently appointed Chris McKellow as marine liability underwriter and Antonio Bellanca as head of Europe and Emerging Markets (professional indemnity).
