Marsh appoints ex-Willis to lead climate and sustainability insurance innovation
Global broker Marsh has appointed a new head of climate and sustainability insurance innovation. The executive was formerly a divisional director at Willis Towers Watson.
Ryan Bond (pictured) will join the company in January 2022, and be responsible for leading the global development of insurance solutions that support Marsh’s clients through the climate transition and help them achieve their commitments around sustainability and climate change. Working closely with Amy Barnes, head of climate and sustainability strategy at Marsh, Bond will also support market innovation to address these complex issues. He will be based in London.
Bond joined the business in 2007; most recently was chief executive, UK and Ireland, of Bowring Marsh, Marsh’s international placement business. Before joining Marsh, he was a division director at Willis Towers Watson for six years. He is a board member of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) and also serves on BIBA’s International & Wholesale Advisory Board.
