Marsh appoints multinational practice leader in the UK
Broker Marsh has appointed Fiona Park as its multinational practice leader for Scotland within its UK corporate division.
Based in Glasgow, Park will lead the team which brings together expertise across Marsh’s corporate offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, and the business’s global network in over 130 countries. She will report to Allan McPherson, regional managing director for Scotland and the North of England, UK corporate division, Marsh.
Park has 28 years of experience in the insurance industry, having spent the last 15 years providing risk and insurance advice to Scottish firms across all industry sectors with operations overseas, as well as multinationals investing in Scotland and the wider UK.
McPherson said: “Our multinational clients are increasingly exposed to a complex patchwork of insurance marketplace and regulations, each with their own rules and customs. With Fiona’s extensive experience, the team is well-placed to provide clients with industry-leading advice on multinational insurance programmes as well as local solutions.”

In Scotland, Marsh’s multinational practice provides insurance, risk advisory, and claims services to organisations investing in the country and across the UK, as well as those firms expanding their operations overseas. It advises small start-ups through to global companies in a number of industries - from food and beverage, energy, and manufacturing to pharmaceuticals and communications - on issues such as country risk, international regulation, compulsory and voluntary insurance requirements, and risk governance.
