Marsh hires cyber incident management leader from Beazley

Broker Marsh has created a new role of US cyber incident management leader for Katherine Keefe, who joins the company from Beazley.

Keefe will be responsible for leading Marsh’s efforts to assist clients responding to and managing cyber events, including data breaches and ransomware attacks, and advising them on pre and post cyber incident management. She will also oversee Marsh’s relationships with the broader cyber incident management marketplace, including breach coaches, forensic investigators, and cyber insurers.

Based in Philadelphia, she will report to Tom Reagan, US cyber practice leader.

Keefe served as head of Beazley's Breach Response Services for the last eight years.

Reagan said: “In the wake of the global pandemic, organisations are looking for strategies and solutions to help mitigate the threat of cyber-attacks, which are intensifying in both frequency and severity. As one of the foremost experts in her field, Katherine’s experience, knowledge, and expertise will be of tremendous value to our clients.”

Keefe added: “Marsh’s cyber insight and analysis, proprietary risk assessment tools, and insurance products and services are best-in-class. I look forward to working with this talented team and further building on these market-leading solutions to help Marsh clients successfully respond to and maximize insurable recovery from cyber events.”
