Miller hires Willis executive to build UK professions practice
Re/insurance broker Miller has hired two senior executives from Willis and Tindall Riley & Co. to bolster its UK professions team and expand its insurance offering to large professional practices.
Taurai Ushe has joined Miller as head of business development, UK professions, and Ed Pickard as head of UK professions.
Ushe comes from Willis Towers Watson. He has 15 years’ experience in developing new business opportunities and sourcing insurance solutions for UK companies in the professional services sector. He began his career at Allianz and subsequently held positions at United Insurance Brokers (UIB), Hyperion Insurance Group, before moving to WTW.
Pickard joined Miller earlier in May. He was most recently chief executive of Tindall Riley & Co., with responsibility for the Griffin Insurance Association and the Wren Insurance Association, as well as the Libra solicitors’ professional indemnity scheme.
Pickard said: “Taurai is an excellent addition to our UK Professions team given his extensive skill set and experience. His hire supports our ongoing efforts to help our clients navigate the market by combining a consultancy approach with market-leading expertise.”
