Miller poaches long-serving Willis Towers Watson surety leader

Re/insurance broker  Miller has hired a long-serving Willis Towers Watson executive to take on the newly created role of head of surety.

Sally Hinchey (pictured) will be responsible for leading and developing Miller’s surety offering, working closely with the construction team to further its capabilities in this space, but also using her expertise to support growth across other lines of business. She will report to Pauline Goreham, head of construction, and will be based in London.

Hinchey has nearly 16 years of industry experience, more than 12 of which were spent at Willis Towers Watson, most recently as surety director. In this role, she led the business’ surety proposition in the UK, designing, placing and coordinating innovative surety solutions. Prior to joining WTW in 2009, Hinchey worked with broker Marsh in Cardiff.

Goreham said: “I’m delighted to welcome Sally to the business as our new Head of Surety. With extensive experience leading and growing client relationships in the surety market, her appointment is an important milestone as we look to build out a strong surety proposition. Sally’s appointment will support the expansion of our construction offering, while also adding value to a number of other teams at Miller, furthering our commitment to providing a market-leading service for our clients and partners.”
