Monument Re closes acquisition of portfolio from Zurich Life

Bermuda-based reinsurer Monument Re has completed its acquisition of a portfolio from Zurich Life Assurance.

The portfolio acquired by its Irish subsidiary Monument Life Insurance d.a.c consisted of unit-linked International Portfolio Bond policies.

The transaction was completed on November 30 following the approval of the Irish High Court.

The company said terms and conditions for policyholders will remain unchanged.
